Job Overview
This Pharmacy Business Development Representative role is located within Perrigo’s Branded Consumer Healthcare division, covering Northern, Eastern, South‑East London and southern East Anglia.
The position reports to the UK Field Sales Manager and focuses on expanding sales and distribution of established over‑the‑counter (OTC) products across independent pharmacies to achieve growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a territory business plan to grow the business.
- Maintain and grow existing business through strong account‑management skills.
- Detail OTC products to pharmacists and other pharmacy HCPs individually or in groups.
- Train pharmacy staff to drive product recommendations.
- Drive in‑store visibility by placing agreed point‑of‑sale materials.
- Set and achieve cyclic training targets to educate healthcare professionals.
- Required Qualifications
- Proven sales experience, preferably within the healthcare environment or FMCG, or at least six years in a community pharmacy or pharmaceutical local authority setting.
- Graduate level degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and sell effectively against competitor products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service orientation for both internal and external customers.
- Clean driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of NHS/UK Pharmacy Frameworks and ABPI qualification.
