Description Overview
We’re looking for a curious commercially minded Global IP Counsel to help protect and grow the value of Perrigo’s intellectual property portfolio. Reporting to Perrigo’s Global IP Lead, and working closely with business teams, other legal colleagues, and Perrigo’s outsourced IP provider, you will play a key role in ensuring Perrigo’s brands, innovations, formulations, packaging, and other assets are protected, competitive, and positioned to support sustainable growth.

Scope of the Role
IP Advisory & Portfolio Support- Provide day-to-day advice on trademarks and other IP rights, including designs, copyrights, patents, trade secrets, and domain names.
- Support the transition of IP portfolio management to an outsourced model, ensuring quality, efficiency, and strategic alignment.
- Manage day-to-day coordination with Perrigo’s outsourced provider, business stakeholders, and legal colleagues.
- Oversee the external provider’s handling of Perrigo’s global portfolio to ensure a high-quality service that is aligned with business priorities and the IP strategy, while staying within budget.
- Assist with IP disputes and enforcement matters, including litigation prevention and coordination with external counsel.
- Support the review and drafting of IP-related agreements, including licensing agreements, co-development agreements, and IP provisions in commercial contracts.
- Support IP due diligence activities relating to M&A.
- Help deliver IP training, tools, and best-practice guidance across the business.
- Responsible for IP data integrity and ensuring that the data on the IP platform (managed by the outsourced IP provider) is accurate, reliable and consistent.
- Contribute to improving IP processes, systems, and operational efficiency.
- Prioritise support in accordance with effective risk management and value creation.
Experience Required
- Qualified lawyer or Trademark Attorney (or equivalent).
- 2–4 years post-qualification experience, ideally with a strong trademark foundation.
- Experience working with external counsel or an outsourced IP provider is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple matters and priorities.
- Clear communicator who can translate IP concepts for non-lawyers.
- Curious and solutions-driven, and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, global environment.
