Excellent opportunity with a market leading consultancy who have an outstanding reputation for delivering construction, fit-out, and refurbishment schemes for the UK's leading hotel, hospitality and leisure sector businesses. They are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial management team, helping them to deliver pre and post contract support for a broad variety of fast-track redevelopment programmes. It is an exciting opportunity with a very successful and ambitious business which can offer great scope for continued development and progression.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will take responsibility for a portfolio of your own schemes. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide accurate cost management and financial oversight for hotels fit-out and refurbishment schemes.
  • Monitor project progress and deliverables, ensuring all stages are completed on time and within budget.
  • Contract and sub-contract administration.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections, ensuring compliance with contracts, budgets, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with framework contractor, sub-contractors and other multi-disciplined consultants involved with the project.
  • Manage change control and mitigate risks associated with the live building environment.

ABOUT YOU

Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification.
  • Pre and post contract cost management experience, including setting budgets, managing change, assessing risk and opportunity and procurement.
  • Experience of working as an Employers Agent, Project Monitoring Role would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience of fast-paced refurbishment or fit-out schemes, ideally within the hospitality, leisure or retail sectors.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to attend site visits.
