As they continue to grow their Highways & Infrastructure design teams,they have an exciting opportunity for a Civil CAD Technician / Senior Civil CAD Technician to support their strong and diverse pipeline of work including National Highways, Local Authority and Homes England framework projects.
The role can be based from any of our client’s northern regional offices (Manchester, Liverpool, Chorley, Leeds, or Cumbria) with flexible hybrid working arrangements in all cases.
About the role
As a design professional you will contribute to a wide variety of highways, transportation and infrastructure design schemes.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Contributing to the successful delivery of highways/infrastructure projects
- Preparing detailed highway/Infrastructure design drawings using CAD software
- Developing project plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Supporting the planning and design phases of local highway schemes
- Providing technical advice and solutions as part of a project team
About you
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent individual with good experience of the detailed design of highways and infrastructure projects. You should have good communication skills, a collaborative approach and a proven ability to deliver work on time.
You should be a qualified professional with HNC/degree in Civil Engineering or similar related Construction qualification.
Suitable candidates should also be able to demonstrate:
- A good level of proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Some experience in use of Civil 3d/Site 3d/PDS and Micro-Drainage/Info Drainagewould also be welcome.
- Demonstrable experience in highway and/or transportation design.
- Experience of drainage design would also be beneficial.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices related to highway design on the local road network
