SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST HUDDERSFIELD or LEEDS (Hybrid) Excellent salary package Overview Our client is a multi-award winning architecture and building consultancy practice. Due to their continued growth and expanding portfolio, they are looking to add an Architectural Technologist / Senior Architectural Technologist to their Building Consultancy team. The role can be based from their Huddersfield or Leeds city centre offices, with flexibility for hybrid working to ensure a good work / life balance. This is a great opportunity to get involved with a broad range of renovation, refurbishment and re-purposing schemes across both public and private sectors, including several exciting projects in the higher education, custodial and commercial sectors. Key Responsibilities Typical responsibilities would include: Produce effective working drawing packages with the minimum of supervision Advise on environmental and building regulatory requirements affecting the project A good understanding of current and future fire regulations Advise on materials Carry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM) Co-ordinate with other consultants/colleagues, disseminate information to team members and negotiate with statutory bodies Ensure compliance with design, legal, statutory and professional requirements Co-ordinate detailed design information Liaise with and produce documentation for statutory and local approval authorities Use latest Revit Level 2 BIM processes Programme work schedules and carry out inspections at various stages Source technical information, buildability awareness, carry out Health and Safety Risk assessments, prepare tender reports and recommendations, carry out measured surveys and implement and work to QA procedures About you Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate: BSc or HND qualified in relevant subject, with no less than 5 years post qualification experience. CIAT registered would be preferred or working towards. Experience working as Architectural Technologist in an architectural practice or multi-disciplined design consultancy. Able to competently use 3D Autodesk Revit and 3D rendering packages, 2D AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. Sound drawing and detailed design skills. Able to prepare working drawings, schedules and specifications. Good knowledge of construction and building law. Structured approach to problem solving and decision making. Able to work collaboratively and effectively as a team member. Good level of organisation, planning and management skills in order to effectively lead projects.
