About the role
We are hiring a Senior Marketing Manager On-Trade to lead Pernod Ricard’s global on-premise strategy, build our trade insight foundations, and set the strategic direction for SIP, our Pernod Ricard Global Advocacy Platform. Sitting within the Trade Advocacy Center of Excellence, this role defines how our brands win in the on-trade—through segmentation, insights, frameworks, and experience principles that guide markets and brands globally. This is a highly strategic, influential role. You will lead our global understanding of drinking occasions, trade behaviour, bartender culture, and on-premise dynamics. You will translate these insights into scalable, global frameworks and shape the strategic vision for our trade engagement platforms. You will work cross-functionally with Brand Architecture Teams, Consumer Insights, Markets, and Advocacy specialists to ensure we deliver consistent, culturally relevant, premium brand experiences in the on-trade.
Your key missions
- Global Lead of On-Premise Trade & Industry Insights
- Lead the global on-premise insights agenda, including consumer behaviour, bartender culture, category dynamics, and channel performance.
- Build and maintain the global on-trade knowledge base—segmentation models, bartender profiles, drinking occasions, cultural trends, and market patterns.
- Translate cultural and hospitality trends into strategic opportunities for brands, SIP, and global Advocacy programs.
- Partner with insights providers (e.g., Nielsen, Reverb, Readerly) to identify growth drivers, premiumization opportunities, and future-facing trade trends.
- Own the overarching On-Premise Strategy for our key portfolio of brands
- Define global on-premise strategy principles and frameworks for PR brands, ensuring consistent excellence across segmentation, targeting, and engagement.
- Lead global on-premise segmentation & bartender segmentation frameworks, ensuring they are insight-driven, future-fit, and consistently applied across Global Pernod Ricard brands and markets.
- Align global segmentation with market-level segmentation models, defining clear guidelines, use cases, and prioritisation to drive coherent targeting, activation planning, and account selection globally.
- Build the global on-premise playbook including segmentation, key occasion strategy, On Trade Brand World principles / POS strategy, programming models, and broadcasting through IBP (twice yearly).
- Work closely with Brand Architecture teams to ensure trade strategies ladder into brand challenges and comms, and provide feedback on-premise programs.
- Lead the strategy of the Pernod Ricard Global Advocacy Platform (Share. Inspire. Pioneer.)
- Lead the vision, roadmap, governance, and strategic evolution.
- Define global annual priorities, initiatives, and performance management framework.
- Oversee delivery/scaling of program while coordinating with top markets on execution standards, capability building, and adoption of global tools.
- Partner with Brand Ambassadors, Brand Homes, and Education teams to ensure the Global Advocacy Platform delivers excellence in advocacy, training, and brand experiences.
- Measure and report impact on recruitment, penetration, trade advocacy, brand equity, and commercial outcomes.
- Governance, KPIs & Performance Management
- Set global KPIs for trade programs, advocacy initiatives, and on-premise strategies.
- Deploy, test, measure, optimise frameworks for market adoption and global scaling.
- Lead annual planning, including budget definition and resource prioritisation.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with markets using data-driven impact evaluations.

You have:
- +12 years relevant experience.
- The ability to define and lead long-range global on-premise and Advocacy strategies across multiple brands and markets.
- Deep expertise in consumer, bartender, and on-premise insights — translating cultural signals and data into bold strategic actions.
- Strong commercial acumen, with confidence in budgeting, KPI setting, ROI assessment, and strategic prioritisation.
- A track record of delivering complex, multi-market programs with excellence, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- High cultural fluency in hospitality and bartender culture, bringing brand ambitions to life through powerful on-trade experiences.
- Advanced analytical skills, synthesising trade, consumer, and market data to guide decisions and optimise performance.
- Clear, compelling communication and storytelling abilities that mobilise diverse senior stakeholders in matrix organisations.
