About the role: The Finance Operational Analysis team provide dedicated financial support to the Manufacturing and Production functions of our business. As part of this wider team, this team partners with the R&D and Marketing business to ensure full understanding and timely reporting of financial performance to the senior management team. This role is central to delivery of a number of key processes and offers visibility at Senior Exec level and wider Pernod Ricard HQ, managing cost and processes within this team, you will have responsibility for a number of key areas including Standard Costing Process, New Product Development Area and Ops Excellence tracking and reporting.
What you will do:
- Reporting and Monitoring: Support operational teams by providing financial analysis and insights for key activities, including New Product Development (NPD) and operational improvement initiatives. Identify and track cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains across NPD. Coordinate key financial processes, including data collection and validation for monthly actuals, ensuring deadlines are met. Partner with the Packaging Development Team to support budget management, structure, and projects. Assist the Business Partner in developing NPD business cases.
- Forecasting and Planning: Lead the annual standard costing process for CBL and coordinate integration of IDL analysis for overall consolidation. Manage COGS forecasting and reporting in line with HQ guidance, ensuring clear communication to senior stakeholders. Support planning cycles by preparing data and enabling the wider finance team to meet timelines.
- Operational and Business Support: Prepare monthly analysis and reporting for NPD operational costs and PD spend, highlighting key variances. Deliver accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders and HQ. Produce commentary and variance analysis for monthly performance reviews. Support the Business Partner in managing central marketing spend, including reporting, monitoring, and partnering with Brand Analysis, Planning, and Reporting teams to assess P&L impact.
- Operational Initiatives: Support the consolidation and monthly reporting of Operational Excellence initiatives, including financial and non-financial savings, in line with Pernod Ricard Group targets.
Your skills and background:
- Have degree level education or equivalent.
- You are fully qualified or in latter stages of recognised accountancy qualification.
- Have knowledge and experience in a wide range of accounting techniques and their application.
- Can work autonomously, managing your own priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Are highly skilled in spreadsheet and database management skill.
- Can develop relationships effectively to provide a reliable and consistent customer service.
