This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe. The scope of Operations stretches from Procurement through conversion (distillation and maturation) and manufacturing (or bottling) to all the downstream Supply Chain activities until the final product is delivered.

The Operations Finance team provides dedicated financial support to the Manufacturing and Production functions of our business. As part of this wider team, this team of six people partners specifically with the Production Operations across Chivas Brothers & Irish Distillers to ensure full understanding and timely reporting of financial performance to the senior management team.

Your unique contribution

  • Month-end & Reporting: Execute month-end close based on operational KPIs, prepare monthly cost analysis, and lead reviews with members of the wider Production team.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Develop and maintain models to support detailed reporting and forecasting of Production costs and headcount.
  • Business Support: Engage with budget-holders to determine forward-looking cost analysis including preparing and presenting functional summaries for review.
  • Operational Initiatives: Provide support across all operational functions for the planning, monitoring, consolidating, and reporting of Operational Excellence improvement initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assess routine processes and drive process improvement by working closely within the team to establish process efficiencies and adoption of new tools where required.

Who you’ll be working with

Internally, you will collaborate with leaders across the Production function to provide financial support and guidance. Externally, you will work with Audit teams to support annual Audit processes.

  • Are part or fully qualified in a recognised accountancy qualification.
  • Have knowledge and experience in a wide range of accounting techniques and their application.

  • Can develop relationships effectively to provide a reliable and consistent customer service.
