Location: Belfast, Co.Antrim

Contract type: Initial 12-month contract with potential for a further 12-24 months (performance dependent)

Reporting to: Irish Distillers marketing team and dotted line to BA Programmes team in Dublin and the local commercial team in Belfast.

Our Global Trade Advocacy team engages with the On-Trade, where Jameson is brought to life through storytelling, craft, and human connection. Brand Ambassadors serve as cultural catalysts, translating brand ambition into authentic experiences and building trust with bartenders, consumers, and trade partners.

The Jameson Brand Ambassador Programme offers you the opportunity to represent Jameson in Ireland or in one of our international markets, while becoming part of the local Pernod Ricard marketing and sales teams. As a Jameson Brand Ambassador, you will gain hands-on commercial experience, deep brand knowledge, and the opportunity to represent the world’s bestselling Irish whiskey globally. You’ll play a key role in building the brand through education, advocacy, and trade engagement.

Following 2 weeks of training in both our head office in Dublin and the Irish Whiskey Academy in Midleton, Cork, you will commence your role and work across a wide range of activities such as brand activation, event planning, brand education, mentoring, and sales and marketing.

What does the role of Jameson Brand Ambassador involve?

  • 80-90%: Educating consumers, bartenders, and sales teams about the history, heritage, and craft credentials of Jameson Irish Whiskey. Supporting the brand’s creative activities and generating content for sharing on digital channels.
  • 10-20% office based: Supporting your local marketing team in the planning, execution, and evaluation of Jameson activations, including monthly reporting on activity, processing expenses, and sharing market insights.

Core areas of the role include:

  • Brand Education: Support local sales team in educating staff in key trade accounts with a focus on bartender education. Conduct tastings and education for groups of drinks industry influencers and target consumers.
  • Brand Activation: Collaborate with local brand and sales teams to identify and execute a range of brand activations.
  • Cultural Advocacy: Engage with the local cultural landscape by connecting with key figures in the community.
  • Content Creation: Capture on-brand content to share on local and global brand channels.
  • Share of Mind: Ensure the Jameson brand is front of mind with our consumers.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Relevant third-level qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Full, clean driver’s licence and willingness to travel
  • Full legal right to work in Ireland is essential
  • Bartending and/or hospitality experience
  • Experience/interest in travel
  • Interest in Music, Art, and Culture
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Outgoing and personable, with excellent relationship-building ability
  • Positive, proactive mindset with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Commercially aware with sound business acumen
  • Creative, innovative, and collaborative in approach
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with strong IT skills
  • Able to adapt to new countries, cultures, and situations
