About the role:

Execute the POS logistic strategy & planning across BUs and markets, develop mid-term strategy and roadmap, and optimize route to market for centrally developed POS materials. Analyze needs & deliver against MCs requirements, review spend patterns and SLAs, and manage 3PL providers to secure service quality and satisfactory execution of the services. Collaborate with business functions to ensure smooth deliveries from suppliers to the warehouse and then to the affiliates of POS materials.

Coordinate collaboration between BUs and identify optimization opportunities in stock management and route to market to deliver against business performance and savings ambitions. Support buyers in all logistics aspects linked to POS development and procurement. Execute efficient internal processes and maintain structured communication with global functions and affiliates.

Your unique contribution:

Strategy:

Execute the global strategy across BUs and markets, develop mid-term strategy and roadmap, and optimize route to market for centrally developed POS materials. Actively collaborate with global and local business and procurement to deliver the business needs, improve ways of working, implement best practices & policies.

Operational:

Manage 3PL Warehouse providers and instruction on all inbound, outbound orders / inventory and obsolescence management / system order entry / SKU set-up / international logistics management for all POS orders, with focus on CBIL and coordination with other BUs. Assure compliance management for all POS orders, including instruction on international documentation and HS Code management for reporting to HMRC. Manage ‘damaged goods’ procedure with 3PL warehouses, ensuring the most optimum process is adhered to, as well as creation and implementation of a non-conformance policy. Responsible for the Dangerous Goods management with 3PL warehouses, ensuring the correct documentation is in use and up to date. Monitor purchases of electrical and electronic items to report quarterly on legal WEEE requirements with the relevant CBIL internal department. Liaise with Pernod-Ricard affiliates on eTool orders from order to invoice, working closely with Finance. Ensure inter-departmental recharge list is maintained and timely execution of recharges. Monitor inventory on all BU POS on both eTool and monitor 3PL warehouses on monthly invoices, cross-check charges against POS shipments to ensure accuracy, raising & receipting of relevant PO’s. Support market affiliates with logistical questions & issues by identifying market specific customs requirements & consular documentation, helping to reduce lead times, market import duty liability & avoiding unnecessary delays + potential storage fees.

Performance & management:

Identify new opportunities to reach category objectives and anticipate risks which might hinder realization of agreed targets. Ensure the follow-up of the relationship with 3PL suppliers, monitoring internal and external progress plans. Provide Management with reports as requested including but not limited to summarising key activities and issues, governance, S&R savings, and improvements achieved. Be an active member of the procurement community: participate in the sharing of best practices and improvement of various documents (benchmarks, guidelines, monitoring purchasing performance…)

  • Affiliate Marketing / Trade Marketing Stakeholders teams (potentially all markets)
  • Proximity Indirect Procurement teams in all regions and markets (potentially all markets)
  • COE analysts
  • Functional owners such as Supply Chain, IT, Finance Legal & Compliance

Your blend of talent:

  • +5 years International Shipping Experience of POSM to include both Export & Import
  • Experience within a similar position and/or previous experience with working in an FMCG environment
  • Experience with management of 3PL warehouses
  • Strong understanding of WMS systems and knowledge of HAZ-MAT handling
  • Broad knowledge of international customs & related paperwork requirements
  • Strong analytical skillset & highly numeric
