Your Manager: Distillery Operations Manager
Team: Distillation & Maturations, Malt Operations
Location: Speyside - will be located at one of our distilleries in the Moray area with requirement to travel across different sites, as required.

Your new team: This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600‑strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe. The scope of Operations stretches from Procurement through conversion (distillation and maturation) and manufacturing (or bottling) to all the downstream Supply Chain activities until the final product is delivered.
The key pillars to the success of the team are Safety, Environment, Compliance, Efficiency and Production.
Your unique contribution: The Team Leader will assist the Operations Manager in effectively managing distillery operations sites and support the delivery of our long‑term strategy by leading the development of people, plant, safety and equipment. You will have four main areas of responsibility:
- Distillery Operations – to deliver distillery & business objectives aligned to key performance Indicators and to implement and manage various projects within distillery operations with a clear structure, change control and communication with all involved.
- Compliance – to maintain compliance with H.M. Revenue & Customs requirements, Company quality, health, safety, environmental, energy management, time management and food / feed safety standards, as well as with all internal and external regulatory control.
- People Leadership – to develop and coach people in your team to ensure delivery of business targets.
- Business Improvements – to assist in the development of business short, medium and long‑term strategies and to maintain and report progress on improvement strategies.
Who you’ll be working with: Internally, you will collaborate with the wider Distillation & Maturation team as well as other teams across the organisation, including Health & Safety and HR. Externally, you will collaborate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure delivery of services to the highest quality.

- Have experience in supervising or leading people, in a production environment, with the ability to co‑ordinate resources and analyse production data.
- Can make decisions based on a logical approach to fact gathering.
- Have a good understanding of continuous improvement and a comprehensive awareness of business compliance requirements.
- Hold a current UK driving licence.
