This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future. The Health & Safety (H&S) team at Pernod Ricard are a team of 12 supporting our sites across the UK.
Your unique contribution as a key member of our Distillation & Maturation Leadership Team will involve developing and implementing a Distillation & Maturation Health and Safety Roadmap. You will have six main areas of responsibility:
- Strategic Partnering & Engagement: Being a trusted partner to site leaders, helping shape a culture where health and safety is seen as a tool for success.
- People Leadership: Leading and supporting the safety advisors in your region.
- Cultural Maturity: Breathing life into our health and safety framework and creating a culture of shared ownership.
- Standards & Systems: Supporting high-hazard risk and COMAH compliance and overseeing the operational development of our management system.
- Change Management: Driving proactive engagement in site changes and developments.
- Training & Development: Helping teams move from lagging indicators to learning insights and building capability at every level.
Internally, you’ll collaborate across functions and externally with the Health and Safety Executive and other regulatory bodies. You will be the face of Pernod Ricard and ensure delivery of a best-in-class Health & Safety service for the business.
This position could be right for you if you:
- Bring genuine care for people and a belief that safety is about enabling good work.
- Have Professional Health and Safety qualifications (i.e. NEBOSH) and experience in developing health and safety management systems.
- Have proven experience in a similar health and safety role across multiple sites.
- Are a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
- Have experience in incident analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
