Responsibilities

  • Invoice Processing & Verification: Process external and inter-company supplier invoices and credits; enter invoice data into JD Edwards; route for approval via email; ensure all data (VAT, currency, amount, authorisation, nominal code, narrative) is correct; match invoices to goods receipts and resolve discrepancies; process staff travel and expense claims.
  • Supplier Management & Payments: Create, amend, and maintain supplier records; reconcile monthly supplier statements; resolve discrepancies; serve as point of contact for supplier queries; build relationships with credit-control teams; prepare and process payment runs with correct parameters and approval.
  • Month-End Close & Reporting: Perform balance sheet account reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances; support inter-company reporting including allocation of supplier invoices and reconciliation of inter-company balances; prepare and distribute monthly travel and expense reports.
  • Compliance, Audit & General Support: Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits; monitor and manage the shared accounts payable inbox; triage and respond to queries, invoices, and correspondence; undertake ad-hoc tasks to support the wider finance team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Experience in an accounts payable role.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle JD Edwards or SAP (posting invoices, running enquiries, posting journals, closing ledgers).
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience in reporting is a plus.
  • Ability to liaise with all departments and suppliers.
