We are seeking compassionate and motivated Residential Child Care Workers to join our dedicated team supporting neurodiverse children and young people within our new home in Ayr.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, therapeutic, and person-centred care within a residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Build positive, warm, and meaningful relationships with children and young people
- Provide safe, inclusive, and nurturing residential care
- Support young people with daily routines, personal care, education, and activities
- Encourage independence, choice, and participation in decision‑making
- Promote healthy routines, boundaries, and positive behaviour
- Contribute to care planning, reviews, and risk assessments
- Maintain accurate records and written reports
- Work collaboratively with families and partner agencies
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and children’s rights
- Use de‑escalation strategies and approved physical interventions when required
