We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client in Newtown on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a local skilled engineer to work with a local, established family run business. You will be working within a fast-paced environment, supporting the maintenance and reliability of manufacturing and packing equipment. Rate of pay circa £35,000 - £45,000 based on 40 hours basic pay. There is an opportunity to work overtime when required. Hours of work are between 7am - 4pm/Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily visual inspections of production line machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing
- Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment breakdowns
- Conduct regular quality and safety checks to minimise downtime
- Maintain accurate records of planned and emergency maintenance
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations
- Assist with general building maintenance when required
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
- Full clean driving licence
Desirable Skills
- City & Guilds Inspection & Testing of electrical installations qualification
- Qualified to 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018
- Experience in control panel building and PLC programming
