We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client in Newtown on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a local skilled engineer to work with a local, established family-run business. You will be working within a fast-paced environment, supporting the maintenance and reliability of manufacturing and packing equipment. Rate of pay circa 35,000 - 45,000 based on 40 hours basic pay. There is an opportunity to work overtime when required. Hours of work are between 7am - 4pm/Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily visual inspections of production line machinery
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing
  • Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment breakdowns
  • Conduct regular quality and safety checks to minimise downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of planned and emergency maintenance
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations
  • Assist with general building maintenance when required

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Full clean driving licence
