An opportunity to join a new London office at launch stage, with the autonomy to build and grow your own desk. We’re working with an established, well-regarded recruitment business within the built environment space that is launching a brand-new London office. With a strong reputation across their core markets and a successful track record in other locations, they’re now looking to replicate that success in London. This isn’t about inheriting a patch. It’s about taking ownership of a market, building something properly, and being part of the early growth of a new office.

The Role

  • Build and develop a desk within your chosen specialism (M&E, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction, etc.)
  • Drive business development and win new client relationships
  • Deliver on mid to senior-level appointments across your market
  • Take full ownership of your billing, strategy, and growth

There’s no micro-management here - just the expectation that you know how to build, bill, and grow.

What They’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a 360 recruitment consultant (agency side)
  • A strong billing track record
  • Experience within the built environment (or a closely aligned technical/professional market)
  • Someone who enjoys business development and building client relationships
  • A self-starter who wants more ownership and less red tape

Why This Role Stands Out

  • New London office - genuine opportunity to be part of something from day one
  • Established brand with a strong reputation in the market
  • Autonomy to build your own desk your way
  • Clear progression as the office grows (including leadership potential)

Interested? If you’re an experienced recruiter who wants more ownership, more influence, and the chance to build something meaningful - it’s worth a conversation. Apply or reach out to Paul Reid @ Permanent People directly for a confidential chat.
