Legal Recruitment Consultant – Cardiff Permanent People are currently working with a leading recruitment agency specialising in legal recruitment across the UK. Their Cardiff office is expanding, and we recruiting for a dynamic and driven Legal Recruitment Consultant to join their vibrant team. With an excellent reputation in the market, our pride ourselves on matching top legal talent with prestigious law firms and in-house legal teams. Key Responsibilities: Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with law firms and legal departments in South Wales and across the UK. Candidate Sourcing: Identify and engage top legal talent through various channels, including networking, job boards, and social media. Interviewing & Assessment: Conduct interviews and assess the suitability of candidates for specific legal roles. Business Development: Proactively seek out new business opportunities and expand our client base within the legal sector. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, legal salary benchmarks, and the legal job market to provide expert advice to clients and candidates. Negotiation: Manage the offer process between clients and candidates, ensuring a smooth negotiation and acceptance process. Placement: Successfully place candidates in legal roles, from junior associates to senior partners. What We’re Looking For: Experience: Previous experience in recruitment, ideally within the legal sector, is highly desirable. However, if you have recruitment experience in another sector, that will also be considered. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with both clients and candidates. Strong negotiation skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Attitude: A driven, motivated, and results-oriented individual with a passion for achieving targets and delivering exceptional service. Knowledge: A good understanding of the legal industry and the challenges faced by law firms and in-house legal teams.
