Most recruitment leadership roles talk about “growth.” This one is equally about developing people properly. Permanent People are working with a global recruitment business who are looking for an experienced IT contract recruitment leader to head up and grow their London contract division. The team already has strong foundations in place - including six recruiters and an established Practice Lead with over 10 years’ tenure - alongside a substantial network of legacy clients, candidates and existing contractors. This isn’t a rebuild. It’s an opportunity to take ownership of an established, high-potential division within the global headquarters of a highly respected technology recruitment business.
The focus will be on continuing to grow the contract IT offering across areas such as Data, Software Engineering and wider Technology, whilst also coaching, mentoring and developing junior recruiters into high-performing consultants.
The role:
- Leading and growing the London IT contract division
- Managing, mentoring and developing a team of recruiters
- Building a high-performance but collaborative culture
- Continuing to develop existing client relationships and contractor networks
- Supporting the strategic growth of the division alongside senior leadership
- Remaining commercially active and visible within the market
- Working closely with the London Sales Director
What they’re looking for:
- Strong background within IT contract recruitment
- Previous experience managing and developing recruiters
- A relationship-led leadership style
- Someone who values quality over KPI-heavy transactional recruitment
- Strong networking and client relationship-building ability
- Commercial mindset with a proven billing background
- Passion for developing people and creating long-term success
Why this opportunity stands out:
- Established contract division with existing revenue streams
- Approx. 300 contractors currently running from London
- Global HQ with strong market reputation
- Mature, collaborative and high-performing culture
- Genuine opportunity to shape and scale a division
- Strong leadership support and long-term growth plans
This role could suit an experienced Team Leader, Manager or Associate Director looking for a bigger platform, stronger infrastructure and the opportunity to genuinely influence the direction of a contract recruitment business.
