About the role

Our client is a specialist electronics engineering design and manufacturing business based in Manchester!

They wish to appoint a Senior Verification & Validation Engineer, with experience of supporting the Engineering team with Verification & Validation activities across complex electronics engineering projects.

The scope of these V&V activities covers every stage of the project life cycle – the Senior V&V Engineer shall demonstrate correctness and adequacy of the RAMS analysis, compliance of project deliverables, adequacy of the methods, tools and techniques used within projects, and correctness, consistency and adequacy of test specifications and executed tests.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

1. A working experience of V&V activities validating a range of industry standards and regulations.
2. Able to identify and critically evaluate project assumptions, a systemic thinker with the ability to solve problems in a structured manner.
3. Constructively implement V&V activities to meet project and business requirements.
4. Understand the necessity to document and prove in an auditable sense that any project or product development is conducted in a professional and safe manner.
5. An ability to take a top-down approach to systems design taking account of various methodologies.

Successful Candidate:

1. Degree level in Engineering or relevant Science Degree or have clear industry relevant experience in V&V.
2. Must also be CEng or have demonstrable levels of CEng competency.
3. Attention to detail and a strong ethical ethos.
4. Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work with staff and customers at all levels and generate positive, open relationships, evidence of conflict management.
5. Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
6. Desirable – Knowledge of project management methodologies and stage-gate approach to systems design.
7. Application of EN50126, EN50128, EN50129.
