We are thrilled to be recruiting for a growing engineering business, based in North Yorkshire, looking to appoint an additional Senior Project Manager! The role will involve the management of high-value projects from the kick-off meeting through to the handover. You will be responsible for implementing a new structure for how the business onboards and runs projects. The company’s success is down to its people and this is an opportunity to join a successful and forward-thinking team at the top of their game. They have grown significantly over the past few years and need a Senior Project Manager who can get the most out of the increase in sales!
Applications are welcomed from experienced Project Managers or Project Engineers, with good commercial skills, who are looking to make a step up. We need an experienced Senior Project Manager with a background in engineering, a PRINCE 2 practitioner or APM qualification and very good commercial skills. Our client will only consider applications from candidates who are currently within a commutable distance of their facility. Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Preparation and management of all project phases and deliverables including project briefs PMP, schedules, budgets and maintenance of tracking registers
- Identification and provision of reliable solutions for all technical issues in order to assure customer satisfaction
- Assist with the preparation of proposals and estimates during the quotation phase
- Management of Risk, Actions, Issues and Decisions
- Tracking and monitoring the progress of measurable i.e. time, cost and quality
- Preparation and presentation of project financials including accurate budget forecast cost to complete final cost at completion of invoice profile
- Management and control of scope and contract changes with the customer
Your Skills and Abilities:
- PRINCE 2 Practitioner or APM qualified (essential)
- Strong Project Management experience within manufacturing or engineering
- Excellent at building relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Experience in a multi-disciplined environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to handle multiple concurrent projects
