About the role
Hybrid – 3 days onsite. My client, one of Europe’s leading suppliers in the food and beverage manufacturing, food service, and retail sectors, is hiring a retail sales manager to join their existing team due to incredible growth!
Your Main Functions:
- Support across a portfolio of top-tier UK Retail accounts.
- Successfully negotiate JBPs, to meet the business’s ambitious goals.
- Sell to existing customers the range of products.
- Continually develop new customer contacts and new business.
- Develop relationships (from a supply perspective) with new and key Principals and gain detailed product knowledge of all key suppliers and their capabilities.
- Occasionally visit UK and non-UK-based suppliers.
- Facilitate the communication process between supplier and customer.
- Keep up to date with trends in the food and drinks industry, market developments, legislation, import, health and other related trends.
- Be fully aware of the technicalities and pitfalls of importing goods from outside of the UK, into the UK.
- Issue, make, and amend supply and purchase contracts. Where necessary, book Foreign Currency for transactions.
- Understand the broader business of the group and develop group sales opportunities.
About You:
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience supporting or managing UK Retail accounts.
- Passion for FMCG/Food.
- Ambitious mindset, desire to progress within the FMCG industry.
- Hold a UK driving licence.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
