About the role
We are working with an electronics engineering business in Bradford who are looking to appoint a Project Manager to lead some complex R&D projects across a range of industries.
Our client develop breakthrough technology solutions for a range of customers around the world.
The appointed needs to be commercially minded to ensure bottom-line profitability, be good at liaising with internal and external teams, deliver excellent customer service and ideally have a recognised project qualification.
Our client is a very well-respected family-feel business going through a real growth period looking for passionate individuals to join their team.
We are searching for someone with knowledge of electronics (this could be in the form of qualification, time served as an electronic engineer or managing electronic design teams as a PM), experience in a projects-focused role and knowledge of R&D processes.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is only available to British Citizens!!
Your Role and Responsibilities:
– Oversee the project management of multiple product development programmes in a busy engineering environment
– Be the main customer point of contact and uphold an explementary level of customer service
– Construct and negotiate detailed, realistic project schedules and drive projects to completion
– Monitor project budgets from a labour and material standpoint
– Troubleshoot engineering or supply chain issues in real-time, identifying when additional support, resources or budget may be required to keep projects on track
– Construct and monitor project risk registers identifying mitigation strategies by liaising with the engineering team
Your Skills and Abilities:
– Knowledge of project management systems (Prince2 would be advantageous)
– Knowledge of electronic products, components and technology
– A good understanding of research and development activity
– Excellent written and speaking skills
– Ability to work well with other members of teams and clients
– Relevant engineering background, experience or qualification
