Futures are looking to appoint a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing reliability and performance of manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring that production machinery operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards through a combination of planned, reactive, and continuous improvement maintenance activities.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
  • Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement effective repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Coordinate closely with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Monitor and improve key performance metrics such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
  • Analyse equipment performance data to identify recurring issues and implement long-term reliability improvements.
  • Manage and update maintenance work orders, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking of all activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
