About the role
Our client, a precision engineering company, seeks to appoint an experienced CNC Machinist to programme, set and operate a number of machines in their Rochdale factory!
On offer is a competitive salary with a great business and excellent benefits package. If you can programme CNC Machines (FANUC) and are searching for a new role, we would welcome your application!
The appointed individual will have experience in programming 3 and 4-axis Fanuc-controlled turning machines. This is a CNC Turning role but they will happily train a miller with good Fanuc skills!
The business operates a rotating two-week shift pattern of earlies and lates with an early finish on Fridays (38.2 hours). NO NIGHTS!
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting and operating precision engineering machinery
- Programming, setting and operating with Fanuc
- Overcome any tooling and set-up problems encountered when machining components
- Adhere to Machine / Department 5S and support Quality / Business Improvement initiatives
Your Skills and Abilities:
- Formal qualification in machining, with CNC bias, ideally apprentice trained
- Ability to program preferred, with experience of Fanuc / G code
- Confident with a positive and friendly attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
