We are partnered with a secure public sector organisation in Manchester on the search for an Applications Support Team Lead!
In this role, you will lead the response of the Applications Support Team (principal database Administrator, Database Administrators, and Application Support Analysts) in the provision of technical services in IT Systems administration and database administration.
You will lead the planning and coordination of internal and 3rd party service providers in relation to application support and database administration tasks to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Your Experience Required:
- Proven experience in IT service management and application support within a large and complex organisation.
- In-depth experience in the area of client applications, server applications and database management.
- Established track record of managing requests for client applications, server application/database changes, enhancements and disposals.
- Proven ability to successfully balance conflicting priorities.
- Experience in managing service suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and leading teams, including performance management and professional development.
- Practical experience in the management of budgets including forecasting and budget setting.
Your Knowledge:
- Application and database development methods and tools.
- Basic knowledge of enterprise architecture and the benefits of its adoption.
- Technical knowledge of Microsoft Technologies & M365 (Mail, File Storage).
- Technical Knowledge of Oracle & SQL (Moving to Azure).
