Futures recruitment is looking to appoint a technically capable Aftersales Site Engineer to deliver on-call warranty and aftersales support nationwide. This is a site-based, reactive role focused on responding to urgent client issues, diagnosing faults, carrying out rectification works, and producing detailed technical documentation. When not attending call-outs, the role will support wider site services activities, audits, and planned works.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently on customer sites, travelling and operating within strict quality, health and safety, and continuous improvement standards.
Roles and Responsibilities- Provide on-call warranty and aftersales support, responding to urgent and emergency client requests at short notice.
- Attend customer sites to investigate faults, leaks, operational issues and other technical problems.
- Carry out detailed fault diagnosis and implement appropriate rectification and repair works.
- Complete mechanical and component-based repair activities, adjustments and replacements as required.
- Produce clear and accurate technical reports detailing findings, actions taken and recommendations.
- Complete all required documentation including job sheets, fault reports, RAMS, photographs and service records.
- Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, supervisors and management, providing timely updates.
- Participate in an on-call rota to support out-of-hours and emergency call-outs.
- Travel extensively across the UK and Europe to support reactive site work.
- Work independently on site in line with lone-working procedures and company policies.
- Support wider Site Services activities when not attending call-outs, including planned works, audits, SOP preparation and shop-floor support.
- Assist with general site duties and ad-hoc technical tasks as required.
- Carry out quality checks, health & safety audits and site inspections.
- Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement, Quality and Health & Safety initiatives.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by Management or Supervisors.
- Proven experience in a site-based engineering, service or maintenance role.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience carrying out mechanical or technical rectification works.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload in a reactive, time-critical environment.
- Comfortable working on customer sites and dealing directly with clients.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce detailed technical reports.
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements and safe systems of work.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including on-call and emergency response.
