Futures are working with a leading manufacturer who are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer to support customers across the South of England.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Service Engineer with strong electrical engineering ability to join a well-established business that genuinely values technical expertise, reliability, and high-quality customer service.
You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing, and fault-finding of specialist electrical equipment, working mainly within clean, professional environments.
The role offers a fully expensed company vehicle, fuel card, paid door-to-door travel, premium overtime rates, and ongoing training and development. The work is varied, well planned, and suited to an engineer who takes pride in doing a technically strong job.
Service Engineer - Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain specialist electrical equipment at customer sites.
- Carry out fault diagnosis, repair, servicing, and planned maintenance work.
- Undertake electrical testing and commissioning in live customer environments.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits.
- Conduct site surveys and support installation planning activities.
- Produce accurate service reports, technical documentation, and customer updates.
- Represent the business professionally while working on customer sites.
Service Engineer - Skills & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation, Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 17th or 18th Edition qualified.
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Installation Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer.
- Strong electrical fault-finding, testing, and diagnostic skills.
- Comfortable travelling regularly across the South of England.
- Experience working on specialist electrical equipment, medical devices, healthcare equipment, industrial equipment, or similar would be beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence.
