Manufacturing Futures are supporting an expanding engineering business in South Yorkshire in their search for an Electrical Design Engineer. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will join a dynamic R&D and system integration team with an excellent reputation for delivering complex control & automation systems. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will work on a range of standard and bespoke automated systems, gaining exposure to electrical design, control systems and project delivery.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design electrical control systems for automated machinery
- Produce electrical schematics and system drawings using CAD software
- Create BOMs and supporting technical documentation
- Assist with testing and commissioning of the bespoke systems
- Assist with technical queries and problem-solving within the engineering team
- Investigate and evaluate new automation technologies
Skills & Experience:
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Experience or exposure to mainstream PLCs and control systems
- Proficient with Eplan or similar electrical CAD software
- Previous experience in an Electrical Design Engineer or automation-related role
- Experience in on-site installation and commissioning
- Experience with ATEX certification would be a major bonus
- A clean UK Driving Licence
