Our client, a manufacturer with a large design team for their own product ranges, are looking to appoint an R&D Project Manager for their West Yorkshire site. It is essential you have worked for a business that takes concept designs through to manufacture and you understand the processes involved. Our client are a world leader in their field and have been going through a period of significant growth.

As R&D Project Manager, it is important you have managed large project portfolios in the past and understand the pressures that come with handling multi-million-pound contracts for a demanding client bank. The company offers a fantastic environment, strong team culture and flexible working.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Manage an accumulated project portfolio of approximately £8–10m
  • Lead teams and project activities to ensure compliance with quality systems and standards
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Work within a manufacturing business that designs and manufactures its own products
  • Take responsibility for cost, quality, design and delivery
  • Ensure appropriate project management tools are used to communicate plans and progress across the organisation and to customers
Skills & Experience:
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of project management techniques (PRINCE2 advantageous)
  • Experience working for a manufacturer that designs its own products
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarise complex issues at all levels
  • Determined, resilient and able to work under pressure while managing changing priorities
  • Proven hands-on project management experience
