Futures recruitment are looking to appoint a Sustainability Coordinator for a well-known manufacturing business. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early-to-mid career in sustainability who wants hands-on exposure, real responsibility, and the chance to make a measurable impact.
As Sustainability Coordinator, you’ll act as a key support to the Environmental team, helping to deliver sustainability initiatives across site operations, supply chain activity, and compliance reporting. You’ll be involved in everything from data collection and analysis through to employee engagement and continuous improvement projects — working closely with production, engineering, and wider operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the delivery of environmental and sustainability strategies within a manufacturing setting
- Collecting, analysing, and reporting on environmental data (energy, waste, water, carbon, etc.)
- Assisting with environmental compliance, audits, and ISO standards (e.g. ISO 14001)
- Coordinating sustainability projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting carbon reporting, ESG data, and sustainability metrics
- Engaging internal stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and best practice
- Helping to track progress against sustainability targets and KPIs
- Experience or strong interest in sustainability, environmental management, or ESG
- Exposure to manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments (preferred)
- Strong data handling, reporting, and organisational skills
- A proactive, hands-on mindset — comfortable working on the shop floor as well as in the office
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, or reporting frameworks is a plus
- Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally
