Our client, a manufacturing business in Manchester, seeks to appoint an experienced Software Test Engineer to the R&D team. Reporting to the Software Development Team Leader, this is an excellent opportunity to enhance your career by using the latest technologies and helping to create the next generation of products. Role & Responsibilities:
- To work as a member of an expanding software team testing market leading and well-established applications.
- Accurate testing of the next generation of core products, in addition to our existing software, in close conjunction with the R&D team.
- To read and understand in-house written technical specifications, and capture user requirements, using them to create and execute test plans.
- To communicate with internal and external stakeholders concisely and effectively.
- To perform accurate, complete and timely testing of software in line with company standards, software, architecture and design strategy.
Skills & Experience:
- Graduate with Engineering, Communication or IT related degree (or equivalent).
- A background of software testing in a commercial environment.
- A good eye for detail and a meticulous approach to ensuring the software is of a sufficient quality.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of different testing methodologies.
- Good organisational skills, able to work on multiple projects in parallel.
- Candidates will have a desire to work with people as well as software, systems and technology.
