Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based across the UK, is looking for a hands-on and results-driven Manufacturing Manager to lead a medium-sized production team and drive continuous improvement across the shop floor. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong leadership capability with a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, efficiency optimisation, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors and operators, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are consistently met.
- Identify and implement shop floor improvements, including process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency gains.
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, root cause analysis).
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, taking corrective action where needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues and improve overall performance.
