We are currently recruiting for a growing R&D business needing to appoint a Senior Project Manager to lead their programme management team. The role will involve the management of high value R&D projects from Kick-off meeting through to handover. The company's success is down to its people and this is an opportunity to join a successful and forward thinking team at the top of their game. Applications are welcome from both existing Project Managers with an electronics background, or electronic design engineers with experience of project management.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Preparation and management of R&D phase and deliverables including project briefs, schedules, budgets and maintenance of tracking registers
- Identification and provision of reliable solutions for all technical issues in order to assure customer satisfaction
- Assist with the preparation of proposals and estimates during quotation phase
- Management of Risk, Actions, Issues and Decisions
- Tracking and monitoring progress of measurable i.e. time, cost and quality
- Preparation and presentation of project financials including accurate budget forecast cost to complete final cost at completion invoice profile
- Management and control of scope and contract changes with the customer
Skills and Abilities:
- A qualified Electronics Engineer (experience considered over qualification)
- Project Management experience
- Excellent at building relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Experience in a multi-disciplined environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to handle multiple concurrent projects
