I’m looking to appoint a Panel wirer for a large global manufacturing organisation based in West Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong electrical background to work on high-quality control panels in a structured workshop environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Wiring and assembling electrical control panels to specification
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Installing components such as relays, contactors, PLCs, terminal blocks, and power supplies
- Carrying out point-to-point wiring, trunking, and looming to a high standard
- Testing and fault-finding completed panels prior to dispatch
- Working to electrical and safety standards at all times
- Collaborating with engineers and production staff to meet build schedules
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Panel Wirer or Electrical Assembler
- Strong ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams (essential)
- Good knowledge of electrical components and panel layouts
- High attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Ability to work independently from drawings and instructions
- Relevant electrical qualifications or apprenticeship (desirable but not essential)
