I’m looking to appoint a Panel wirer for a large global manufacturing organisation based in West Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong electrical background to work on high-quality control panels in a structured workshop environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Wiring and assembling electrical control panels to specification
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
  • Installing components such as relays, contactors, PLCs, terminal blocks, and power supplies
  • Carrying out point-to-point wiring, trunking, and looming to a high standard
  • Testing and fault-finding completed panels prior to dispatch
  • Working to electrical and safety standards at all times
  • Collaborating with engineers and production staff to meet build schedules

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Panel Wirer or Electrical Assembler
  • Strong ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams (essential)
  • Good knowledge of electrical components and panel layouts
  • High attention to detail and quality of workmanship
  • Ability to work independently from drawings and instructions
  • Relevant electrical qualifications or apprenticeship (desirable but not essential)
