Futures are working with a well renowned industry leading manufacturer, located near Leeds, who is looking to appoint a Lead Buyer. This is an excellent company who have a strong emphasis on quality and a reputation for excellence. We are looking for a Lead Buyer with a strong background in manufacturing and an understanding of fabricated parts.
Buyer - Role and Responsibilities:- Responsible for leading cost purchase of materials and components
- Managing stock control to ensure all material is available at all times for the production teams
- Represent the department in meetings as required
- Develop and maintain supplier and internal relationships
- Experience buying mechanical components for a manufacturer
- Prior experience working closely with R&D teams
- Experience purchasing parts from suppliers in the far east preferred
- MRP/ERP experience
