We're recruiting for a Mechanical Development Engineer to join a growing engineering business near Bradford.

Working within a collaborative R&D environment, you'll contribute to the design, analysis, development, and testing of innovative products used in demanding applications.

As a Mechanical Development Engineer, you'll work closely with experienced engineers whilst taking ownership of your own projects and technical tasks.
Mechanical Development Engineer - Responsibilities
Produce mechanical designs and engineering drawings using 3D CAD.
Perform engineering calculations to support product development activities.
Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and design improvements.
Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
Work with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective to produce.
Assist with product development projects from concept through to release.
Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement activities.
Mechanical Development Engineer - Skills & Experience
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, Solid Works, Solid Edge, Creo, or similar.
Ability to perform mechanical engineering calculations and interpret engineering data.
Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacture.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to engineering challenges.
Experience working within a product development, R&D, or manufacturing environment.
