Futures are working with a well renowned industry leading manufacturer, located near Wakefield in West Yorkshire, who is looking to appoint a mechanical buyer. This is an excellent company who have a strong emphasis on quality and a reputation for excellence. On offer is a competitive salary, supporting benefits package and an engineering finish every Friday giving an effective four and a half day week.
Mechanical Buyer - Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading cost purchase of materials and components
- Managing stock control to ensure all material is available at all times for the production teams
- Represent the department in meetings as required
- Develop and maintain supplier and internal relationships
Mechanical Buyer - Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Experience buying mechanical components for a manufacturer
- Prior experience working closely with R&D teams
- Experience purchasing parts from suppliers in the far east preferred
- MRP/ERP experience
