We are looking for a motivated Fitters Assistant to join our growing team. This role will involve assisting our experienced fitters in the day-to-day installation of uPVC windows, doors, and living spaces. With full training and support provided, you will have the opportunity to progress into a fully qualified uPVC installer. Regular reviews and on-the-job training will help you develop your skills in uPVC installations and advance your career in the home improvement sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist fitters with the installation of uPVC windows, doors, conservatories, orangeries, and living space products.
- Help prepare the site and ensure all materials and tools are available for the fitter to carry out the installation work.
- Provide hands-on support during installations, such as lifting, measuring, and positioning items for fitting.
- Assist with the preparation and sealing of uPVC products to ensure secure and weatherproof installation.
- Work alongside the team to maintain high safety standards on-site.
- Help with the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and tools, ensuring everything is in good working condition.
- Assist with site setup, including measuring and preparing areas for installation.
- Learn and apply installation techniques under the guidance of qualified fitters.
- Ensure all installations meet the company’s quality and safety standards.
- Keep the worksite clean and tidy, following all health and safety protocols.
- Communicate with clients professionally, ensuring excellent customer service during installation.
- Participate in regular training sessions and reviews to track progress and skill development.
Requirements:
- A strong desire to develop skills in uPVC installation and home improvement.
