The opportunity

We’re looking for experienced Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join a busy and dependable transport operation in Scunthorpe.

This is more than simply moving a load from one location to another.

You’ll play an important part in keeping customers’ supply chains running, ensuring every delivery is completed safely, professionally and on time.

The role involves general haulage using curtain-sided vehicles, with regular Monday-to-Friday work and optional weekend shifts.

It’s an excellent opportunity for a reliable driver who takes pride in their vehicle, communicates well and wants consistent, ongoing work.

  • Completing general haulage deliveries using curtain-sided vehicles
  • Tramping from Monday to Friday
  • Carrying out vehicle and load-safety checks
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team
  • Completing deliveries safely and on schedule
  • Following drivers’ hours, working-time and tachograph regulations
  • Representing the transport operation professionally while on the road

  • Approximately 55–65 hours per week

  • Pay rates
  • Monday to Friday: £17.00 per hour
  • Saturday: £19.00 per hour
  • Sunday: £21.00 per hour
  • Night-out allowance: £25.00 per night
  • What you’ll need
  • A valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
  • At least one year of Class 1 driving experience
  • No more than six penalty points on your licence
  • A valid Driver CPC
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • A sound understanding of drivers’ hours and working-time regulations
  • A professional, safety-conscious and dependable approach
  • Good communication and time-management skills
