Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 heavy vehicle equipped with a Hiab crane for loading and unloading cargo
- Deliver goods to multiple sites across different regions, adhering to schedules and safety protocols
- Secure loads on flatbed trucks using appropriate tie-downs and safety measures
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with road regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery times and address any issues
- Follow all traffic laws, health and safety standards, and company policies during every journey
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 (Heavy Vehicle) driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery operations
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating flatbed trucks and Hiab cranes
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and load securing techniques
- Prior experience as a delivery driver preferred, with excellent navigation skills
- Ability to work independently on tramping assignments across multiple locations
