As a Security Guard, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all employees, visitors, and company property. This position requires a proactive and observant individual who can effectively carry out security procedures, conduct patrols, respond to deliveries, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and organisational policies. Working as part of a professional security team, you will support daily operations and contribute to the smooth and secure running of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Monitoring & Patrols: Monitor CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to ensure continuous oversight of the premises. Conduct routine patrols and inspections in alignment with management directives to deter and detect suspicious activity. Provide a visible and reassuring security presence throughout the facility.
- Access Control & Reception Duties: Cover reception and assist in the screening of staff and visitors, ensuring all entry and exit protocols are strictly followed. Greet and process visitors while ensuring compliance with site security procedures. Conduct spot checks and enforce access restrictions to prevent unauthorised access to restricted areas.
- Operational Security Support: Record and maintain vehicle registration logs for all incoming deliveries and collections. Oversee the safe acceptance of deliveries and ensure appropriate security measures are followed. Support emergency response activities and respond to out-of-hours callouts as required.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety regulations and company-specific policies. Maintain accurate records of alarm activations, fire drills, and testing procedures. Carry out administrative duties as directed by the security team or management.
- Team Collaboration & General Duties: Work collaboratively with fellow security personnel to coordinate and prioritise security coverage. Support management with any ad-hoc duties reasonably requested to enhance operational security.
