Our three Isle of Skye hotels are recruiting a Receptionist and Reception Supervisor to join their team in Portree. This is a permanent contract, working full time during the season and at least 16 hours a week out of season, 5 days a week, Monday to Sunday.
This is a guest-facing role; as a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests, making it crucial to create a positive impression. The role requires professionalism, politeness, knowledge, self-motivation, and helpfulness, always aiming to ensure guest satisfaction. Multi-tasking and working under pressure are daily routines.
We seek candidates passionate about guest service, with problem-solving skills, and pride in their work. Experience with Stayntouch and Lightspeed systems is preferred but not mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for guests.
- Greet guests warmly and courteously.
- Check guests in and out efficiently.
- Know the hotel\’s facilities and local area.
- Communicate effectively with the team and know who to approach for assistance.
- Be fully knowledgeable of reception procedures, including check-in, check-out, bookings, inquiries, cash handling, and payments.
- Answer phone calls promptly.
- Utilize guest relation management tools daily.
