Mara Spa is an intimate, coastal spa space nestled within Perle Oban - inspired by the raw beauty of Scotland's west coast and designed to offer calm, restorative experiences rather than high-volume spa days. Our treatments are rooted in slow wellness, using carefully curated products and rituals that encourage guests to pause, breathe and reconnect. We specialise in massage therapies, facials, body treatments and thermal experiences, delivered with warmth, professionalism and genuine care. This is a spa where quality of experience matters more than quantity of treatments.
We are looking for a passionate and intuitive Spa Therapist to join our close-knit Mara Spa team. You will deliver exceptional treatments, create meaningful guest connections, and contribute to the calm, nurturing atmosphere that defines Mara Spa. This role would suit a therapist who values presence, technique and guest care, and who enjoys working in a boutique environment where standards are high but the pace is considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Guest Experience
- Deliver a consistently exceptional, personalised spa experience from greeting to farewell
- Conduct thorough consultations, tailoring treatments to individual guest needs
- Build rapport and trust, ensuring guests feel relaxed, cared for and understood
- Promote a calm, welcoming and professional spa environment at all times
- You will deliver a range of treatments including:
- Massage therapies (relaxation, deep tissue, bespoke treatments)
- Facials (tailored to skin concerns using professional spa brands)
- Body treatments (scrubs, wraps and restorative rituals)
- Thermal and relaxation experiences, supporting guests through the spa journey (Full training will be provided on Mara Spa treatment protocols and products.)
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation
- Prepare treatment rooms before and after each guest experience
- Follow spa SOPs, health safety and treatment protocols consistently
- Support reception, retail recommendations and spa housekeeping where required
About You
- Essential
- Qualified Spa / Beauty Therapist (Level 3 or equivalent)
- Confident delivering massage and facial treatments
- Warm, professional and genuinely guest-focused
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Calm under pressure with a natural, reassuring presence
- Previous spa or hotel spa experience
- Interest in holistic wellbeing, slow wellness or restorative therapies
- Confident recommending retail products in a soft, guest-led way
