The magnificent Bracken Hide Hotel is hiring a Linen & Luggage Porter to join their team in Portree, Isle of Skye. This is a seasonal contract (with the potential to become permanent), and you will be working an average of 40 hours a week Monday through to Sunday during the peak season.
The Luggage & Linen Porter is both a guest-facing position as well as back of house, and as a point of contact for guests it is essential to create a great impression. The Porter role will also require you to adhere to all health, safety, cleanliness and hygiene guidelines while ensuring you pay close attention to detail.
If you work an early shift, you will start your day by assisting with the laundry run to our three hotels in Portree: The Bosville, Marmalade & Bracken Hide.
Please note that due to the rural location of our guest cabins, you will be driving a small vehicle, you will need to be able to drive and adhere to health & safety regulations.

Who are we?
Perle Hotels is a small luxury hotel group focussing on a modern hotel experience in Scotland. The hotels have all been lovingly restored and provide a haven of tranquillity in stunning Highland locations. Our hotels are designed to give the best amenities in interiors which reflect the surrounding countryside.
Where?
The Bracken Hide is a new four-star wilderness hotel, which connects guests to the magic of the Island, the stunning land and seascapes and the nature that abounds. We are located on 52 acres to the west of Portree. Close enough to leave the car and walk into Portree.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivering both luggage & guests to our luxury cabins safely with warmth and genuine care.
- Washing, drying, and folding linen, towels, and other items.
- Transferring clean laundry to the main linen room and cupboards, making sure deliveries are counted and recorded.
- Transferring bags of used laundry, bringing down rubbish bags to the bin area and transferring deliveries of housekeeping stocks to storerooms and cupboards.
- Handling guests\’ luggage and showing them to their cabins.
- Collecting and delivering linen across hotel divisions.
- Assist the Head Housekeeper with linen counts, distribution, storage, etc.
- Making sure that guests are given prompt, courteous and effective service at all times, guaranteeing guest satisfaction.
