We are seeking a highly experienced and truly exceptional Front of House Manager to join the team for the opening of our first city centre property in the heart of Edinburgh. A traditional townhouse nestled in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town, The Edinburgh 16~20 has been lovingly restored to offer a curated experience for discerning travellers seeking refined comfort, bespoke service, and a true sense of place. Inviting guests to indulge in a sanctuary of timeless sophistication, with beautifully appointed rooms and intimate gathering spaces that echo the charm and grace of the city itself. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role, working closely alongside the General Manager as their trusted number two, with real influence over standards, culture, and the guest journey.

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Recruiting, onboarding and training the Front of House team ahead of opening
- Helping create and embed service standards and SOPs
- Owning the end-to-end guest journey, including service recovery and VIP guests
- Acting as senior duty manager, handling escalations and operational decisions
- Working closely with Housekeeping to ensure room readiness and presentation standards
- Leading reception operations, reservations accuracy and PMS reporting
- Building a positive, high-performing team culture
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, fire safety and data protection
About You
- Experience in a luxury or boutique hotel environment
- Strong Front of House, Guest Relations or Rooms leadership background
- Calm, confident and visible leadership style
- Comfortable making decisions and supporting a General Manager
- Passionate about genuine, thoughtful hospitality
- Pre-opening experience welcome, but not essential
