The Opportunity

Glencoe House is not a conventional hotel.

Set within a historic mansion overlooking Loch Leven and the dramatic mountains of Glencoe, it offers an intimate luxury experience built around spacious suites, privacy, and thoughtful service.

We are looking for a Head Housekeeper who takes pride in exceptional standards and who understands that in a property like Glencoe House, the smallest details matter.

Crisp linens, immaculate bathrooms, perfectly presented suites and beautifully maintained spaces are all part of the guest experience.

This role is both hands‑on and leadership focused, responsible for leading the housekeeping and laundry team while ensuring the entire property consistently meets the standards expected of a luxury boutique hotel.

Working alongside the House Manager and Head Chef, you will form part of the hotel's senior leadership team and play a key role in maintaining the atmosphere, comfort and presentation that defines Glencoe House.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading daily housekeeping operations across guest suites, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces
  • Ensuring all rooms are prepared to the highest standard prior to guest arrival
  • Conducting regular room inspections and maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Managing the in‑house laundry operation and linen stock levels
  • Creating staff rotas and ensuring effective team coverage
  • Training, supporting and developing the housekeeping team
  • Maintaining inventory of cleaning products, linen and guest amenities
  • Working closely with the House Manager to ensure seamless room readiness and guest arrivals
  • Ensuring full compliance with COSHH, hygiene and health & safety procedures

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping leadership or supervisory role within hospitality
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in presentation standards
  • Experience managing teams and organising operational workloads
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A hands‑on approach and willingness to support the team operationally
  • Understanding of housekeeping health & safety and COSHH procedures
  • Experience in boutique or luxury hospitality would be advantageous.
