Portland Design is looking for a highly skilled and imaginative Project Advertising & Media Designer II to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about how brands connect with audiences across a variety of ‘in‑line’ channels, with particular emphasis on channels associated with brand activations in the public, commercial realms along with Digital Out of Home (DOOH) environments. The successful candidate will be both creatively driven and commercially astute, with a keen awareness of innovations, trends, and cultural insights that influence the future of advertising and brand‑led media engagement. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualise and design advertising and immersive media experiences that create emotional and memorable brand connections across public and digital environments.
- Stay ahead of advertising and media trends, cultural movements, and audience behaviours to inform strategic design decisions.
- Collaborate with strategy, architectural, and placemaking teams to ensure media design complements spatial and user experience narratives.
- Develop and present creative concepts to internal teams and attend client meetings.
- Support development of commercial media strategies, including contract models, revenue modelling, and brand marketing.
- Contribute to the creation of presentations, and marketing material for internal and external audiences.
- Foster contacts and build a network with media operators and development teams to align advertising solutions with commercial objectives and audience engagement goals.
Skills and Experience (Essential)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro & After Effects).
- Experience with motion graphics, 3D visualization, or spatial design software (e.g. Rhino, SketchUp) a plus.
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) & Social Media platforms.
- Working knowledge of media planning and content management platforms for DOOH.
- Familiarity with data analytics or media measurement platforms and tools is a bonus.
- Ability to produce compelling visual presentations and narrative decks.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
Skills and Experience (Desirable)
- Awareness of new and latest technologies changing the shape of AAM.
- Knowledge of Revit modelling a plus, but not essential.
- 3–5 years+ experience working in the Advertising Industry or an Advertising agency.
