Assists the interior design process throughout projects under routine guidance, contributing to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm standards of excellence in interior design, execution, and our Living Design framework.
Responsibilities
- Participates in preparing contract documents, including floor plans, details, reflected ceiling plans, millwork design, furniture layouts, finishes plans, and schedules.
- Assists in creating presentation materials and models for client presentations.
- Learns to implement key design elements such as spatial layout, scale, colour strategies, light and texture.
- Researches products and manufacturers and contributes to selection of finishes, materials, furniture, and lighting for interior applications, ensuring sustainability goals of the firm are maintained.
- Contributes to programming and space planning analysis and provides area calculations.
- Proactively asks questions and expresses curiosity about the world of design and the industry at large.
- Uses a creative approach to perform tasks and responsibilities on projects in an organized, timely, and consistent way.
- Provides support to tasks within project teams (may focus on individual detailed tasks) and studio activities.
- Communicates and articulates ideas and design thinking in inspiring ways.
- Participates in design reviews, charrettes, and pin‑ups.
- Assists coordination with industry partners and consultants.
Qualifications
- Personable, presentable and clear communicator.
- Sound understanding of building codes and guidelines as applicable.
- Sound knowledge in programming and site analysis.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of conducting field observations and measurements.
- Strong understanding of furniture and interior product specifications.
- Basic Revit skills and understanding.
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.).
- Desirable: Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape/VRay.
- University degree in an interior design related field, completed in 2025 or 2026.
- 0–1 year(s) experience within the industry (graduate role).

Successful graduates will be offered a permanent contract to work with Perkins&Will, working directly with the Workplace (Corporate Interiors) department on a variety of commercial and workplace projects across the UK and internationally.
