Position Description
As a Server, you will provide friendly and efficient service to guests, adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards. Your goal is to maximize guest satisfaction and maintain a positive work environment under the guidance of the General Manager or Manager on Duty.
Responsibilities:
- Report to work well-groomed, in a clean uniform, and practice good personal hygiene.
- Greet guests courteously and respectfully.
- Handle cash, credit card information, gift cards, and all payment-related tasks responsibly.
- Take verbal orders accurately and serve food that meets quality standards.
- Ensure food is at correct temperatures and visually appealing.
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations and perform side work during downtime.
- Follow the service cycle and team responsibilities consistently.
- Know the menu well to suggest items and promote sales.
- Use POS systems properly to write checks and process payments.
- Identify and resolve system or service issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with managers and co-workers about any issues or needs.
Qualifications:
- Basic skills in sanitation, safety, and customer service (training provided)
- Trustworthy with payment handling and cash register operation
- Clear communication skills
Physical Requirements / Environment / Work Conditions:
- High mobility and flexibility
- Ability to work irregular hours under pressure during peak times
- Good coordination
- Lift and carry trays up to 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
- Ability to fit through a 30-inch wide opening
- Frequent reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling
- Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors
- Continuous standing and walking
